Through out life, we constantly learn about adapt. Sometimes we are taught lessons by our own behavior, and at other times we are given advice. Everyone prefers a different way of learning about life. I think that listening to the advice of friends and family is better than learning about life directly for the following reasons.
Firstly, any advice is most likely more accurate. People give advice because they are confident it can help. This confidence comes from the fact that people give advice based on real-world experience that will lead to success. In my experience, I had a friend who was experiencing problems with another person. Since I had previously dealt with a similar problem and solved it successfully, I was able to give my friend good advice and help him out.
Secondly, more advice presents additional solutions to problems. By listening to the various advice of others, one can figure out the best solution to any given problem. When I had a problem with my grades I listened to the advice of several people and discovered the most efficient solution to my problem. As a result, my grades rapidly improved and I was able to consider options that had not even come to mind.
Lastly, one can combine the advice and opinion of others to achieve creative solutions. If someone hears some persuasive advice, but also thinks their own solution is efficient, they can combine the two solutions to form a more creative and efficient approach. A creative approach can allow people to maximize their resources and thus accomplish their goals easier, especially in the face of important decisions.
Life is full of surprises. People can both fear and marvel at the future. However, if we have good friends and family who can help us by providing advice, we can get through life with little difficulty. Therefore, I believe the best way to learn about life is through the advice of friends and family.
